Dr. Chhim is a West Seattle native who has lived in the area all of her life. As a result she has developed a strong connection with her community and is committed to making it better one eye exam at a time. Dr. Chhim received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2006 from Pacific University College of Optometry. Before that, she graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors degree in the field of Zoology. She is licensed through the State of Washington and is certified by the National Board of Examiners of Optometry. Dr. Chhim is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, prescription glasses and speciality contact lenses.
For the past five plus years Dr. Chhim has been volunteering her time with Sea Mar Community Health Center by providing diabetic retinal eye exams to uninsured patients at no cost. She has been able to help thousands of patients with limited access to eye care and was awarded Sea Mar Community Health Center Volunteer of the Year.
Dr. Chhim is married and has two girls named Olivia and Iris. When not at the office they keep her busy playing princess dress up and digging up the sand at Alki Beach. Dr. Chhim is also a big "foodie" and enjoys eating her way through Seattle and discovering new and exciting restaurants.
Dr. Chhim is also fluent in Cambodian and is comfortable examining non-English speaking patients and children.
